Playing with your toes is serious business
Here's a pile of fabric I washed out today
I did some ice dyeing in the 95 degree heat over the weekend--
And some sun printing using seaweed
This was my view from the deck where I was working
Very inspirational
I had a great time, now to get some sewing done!
Linking up with Off The Wall Friday today, haven't done that in a long time!
I'm jealous - wish I was there! looks fabulous, especially the seaweed printing.
ReplyDeleteJanis, I brought back a ziplock bag with some seaweed in it, I thought it was so fun to use. The salt in it helped make great prints!
DeleteWhat a great idea to use seaweed where the salt augments the effects of sun dyeing, really looking forward to seeing the finished fabrics
ReplyDeleteHi Teri, I didn't get many prints done before the seaweed started to smell really bad and I had to throw it out! But I did get a few good ones.
DeleteNow that's about as good as it gets! Awesome does not describe.
ReplyDeleteIt was my first "vacation" there since around 2008, definitely time well spent!
DeleteSuch fun! The sun printed fabric would make a great seascape!
ReplyDeleteWhat great fabric you have created for art to come.
ReplyDeleteThe salty seaweed mask is a double creative tool.
lovely garden to dream and work in!
